RunCadence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account?

No. RunCadence has no sign-up, no login, and no server-side accounts. The app runs entirely in your browser.

Where is my data stored?

In your browser’s local storage on the device you are using. It is not synced to a cloud, not shared with anyone, and not transmitted off the device.

Can I sync runs across devices?

Not automatically. You can export a JSON file on one device (Settings → Export) and import it on another. Future sync may be added but it will always be opt-in.

How do I back up my runs?

Use Settings → Export to download a JSON or CSV file. Keep it somewhere safe — a password manager attachment, a personal cloud folder, or a USB drive.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Your runs are deleted. Always export periodically if you want a backup.

Does RunCadence track my location?

No. There is no GPS, no map, no location prompt. You enter distances manually, the way a paper log works.

Is RunCadence free?

Yes, and it always will be. There is no paid tier and nothing to upgrade to.

How do I send feedback?

Open Settings → Feedback in the app to report a bug, suggest a feature, or rate RunCadence. Bug and feature reports open a pre-filled email in your own mail client — nothing is sent without you pressing send. You can also email info@run-cadence.de directly. Suggestions, bug reports, and feature requests are all welcome.
